30 Nov Ring in the New Year with Outfits to Bring You Good Luck
Colors are a huge part of our lives. They surround us from our home to our daily lives and of course fashion trends. Did you ever notice how certain colors change your mood for example, how the soft hues when entering a spa or a yoga studio help you relax. Some also believe that color can bring you luck, attracting good fortune or repelling it. This is why choosing your 2019 New Years Eve look is very important and will set the tone for the rest of the year.
This 2019 Anyalux New Years Eve outfit guide is based on the Pantone trend colors of the 2019 and Feng Shui (Chinese zodiac) good luck colors. With 2019 being the Year of the Pig, these colors will bring beneficial energies from the fire element, influencing your fate in a positive way.

Red – PANTONE 19-1862
Jester Red
“This color represents fire and reinforces the Earth. People who wear this color are often seen to be irresistible, so if you are looking for love in the new year, wearing red just might make you lucky in the love department. Consider wearing reds with orange undertones (bright) to radiate energy, passion and excitement.” –KarmaWeather.com
Plaid is a great option for a casual New Years look. I especially love the chunky white sweater with the plaid slim leg pants from H&M. Great look and affordable price.
Loving the sock style boots this season. They are great for a dressed up or casual look.
Here is an affordable example from H&M as well as an investment boot from Valentino. If you plan to wear something black for New Years Eve popping a lucky color in your shoes is a great option.
Can we say yes!!!! To this fringe halter top. Great to pair with anything basic and a great piece to have in your closet to wear time and time again. Here I paired it with a miniskirt, a combo of velvet and sequins which is a personal favorite of mine. I love to have fun with clothing and that’s something I always try to show my clients.
The Lady in red is dancing with me (lyrics by Chris de Burgh)…. Not sure what I love more, the slip dress or the fringe belt that it comes with, and it can be repurposed for another outfit for example, worn as a thin scarf with a simple spaghetti strap tank top. Pair the dress with a velvet bag like this one from Gucci to complete the look.
These boots are made for walking and walking that’s just what they’ll do (lyrics by Nancy Sinatra)…. Okay I might be having a fashion moment but how cool will these be with a simple wrap style black dress by DVF .
True confession; fashion makes me want to sing 🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵
Once you put on a Victoria Bekham dress you’ll never want to take it off
If your New Years celebration is black tie and you plan to wear a classic black gown, like this one by Azeeza. Or do a classic black lace by J. Mendel. Just pair it with a color shoe or keep it classic with a red bottom by Christian Louboutin.
I love the 80’s, maybe because that’s the decade I was born or because I adore puffer sleeves and want to sing Girls just want to have fun (lyrics by Cyndi Lauper). These are investment pieces but similar styles can be found at better price points at stores like Zara. You can pair these looks with a red clutch, like the one from Banana Republic.

Orange – PANTONE 15-1264
Turmeric
“The color orange is similar to the color red in its importance to wear it on New Year’s Eve to bring about good luck. It is also a Fire element that reinforces the earth. You can wear a variety of different shades of orange such as peach, tangerine or apricot.” – KarmaWeather.com
I know when I said Orange most thought of looking like a tangerine but check out this great sequins option if you look closely every other panel is on that lucky “tumeric” orange. Pair the dress with an over the knee boot like this one by Christian Louboutin.
Its all about texture when you’re shopping brands that wont break the bank. I love how this can be worn as a complete look or break up the skirt and top and add a simple black garment. I recommend for everyone to own a strappy black sandal that goes with anything and will last you a life time, as long as you take care of the shoe and always add a sole to the bottom.
Burnt Orange Velvet dress, but wait till you see the back. This is for the confident type. Pair it with a fun shoe.
Sporty Chic Logo mania Fendi dress will have all eyes on you. Pair it with an affordable shoe to complete the look without breaking the bank.

Pink – PANTONE 18-2045
Pink Peacock
“You can bring about luck in the new year by wearing pink. Because pigs are pink in color, it is an exceptionally lucky color. Go for dark pink if you want to stand out. If you want a more subtle look, a light pink is a great choice.” –KarmaWeather.com
Loving this sequins pink dress from Zara, great price for a lot of detail. Pair it with a fun bag from Zara or splurge on this Paco Rabanne bag. A personal favorite of mine and how gorgeous is the silver metallic dress that the model is wearing.
Remember lucky colors don’t need to be visible and can be worn under your garments like this La Perla set
No one does silk draping at a great price like Ulla Johnson. Another classic option to ring in the New Year is this gorgeous number by Saloni. Pair it with a sandal like this one by Alvi Milano (you have to see this brand up close next time your in a designer shoe salon).

Yellow and Metallic – PANTONE 13-0850
Aspen Gold
“Representing metal, and metal feeds the Earth. This color can bring you luck, but only if you wear the right shade of it.” – KarmaWeather.com
VERSACE VERSACE VERSACE VERSACE
When I was doing my research for this article and saw a lucky color as yellow or metallic I automatically thought Versace. How great is this entire look if you decide on a casual celebration somewhere warm or dress it up and keep it fab.
Zara always gets it right and fits great for all body types. Unfortunately sizing is tricky so if you order online get the two sizes that are closest to your size. I also adore this mini by Alice and Olivia. This is a great option for a curvy body type.

Not wearing any lucky colors, no problem just add gold accessories. I love these gold and bold huggies that wont break the bank or the metallic leaf earrings. Or treat yourself with something fun and timeless, Nack Armstrong and Sharon Khazzam are a personal favorite of mine.
Can we just stop and admire how lux these beauties are by Zara and a classic by Bienen Davis. Velvet and gem stoner, oh my. These styles make me want to wear lace gloves and become a lady that lunches.
The draping on this dress, by Maria Cornejo, will work on most body types and is a great style for those that are body conscious. Pair it with a Bottega Veneta knot bag and a PVC pump by Gianvitto Rossi.
This makes me think of a Christmas ornament and winter festivities yet its still sexy and sophisticated.
The perfect pleated wrap dress. If you don’t own anything by Missoni I suggest you try one on. Always fits like a glove but its not for the body conscious type. Complete the look with a colored sandal or pump like this classic by Manolo.
I’m sexy and I know it (remix by LMFAO)…. These two dresses make me want to celebrate, my two personal favorites to ring in the New Year.
The 2019 colors give us desire to face the future with empowering colors that provide confidence and spirit. All of these colors are joyful as well as vibrant without being overwhelming. They will influence your fate in a positive way bringing out the positive energies of the fire element. And remember, at least one article of clothing should be in the lucky color, that means mixing them with basic colors like black or white is a great idea.
I wish everyone a prosperous 2019. May your home always be warm and filled with laughter of your loved ones. Most importantly, I wish you health and pure happiness. May we always have the right shoes to match our outfits and the means to buy them. Thank you for reading this and please leave me your comments or feedback.
