Warm Weather Style Out

With the warmer summer months approaching I wanted to share a few easy and affordable ways to look your best with some Warm Weather Style. These are looks that I am putting together for my clients and can easily be worn from day to evening. The beauty of fashion in 2019 is that there are no rules, meaning anything goes in fashion. We are seeing wide leg and skinny leg trousers and jeans. The 80’s are back with the puff sleeves yet we are also seeing a modern approach with clean lines and strong shoulder details. All looks are shoppable from Zara, an easy destination for all things that are trending.

I hope this inspires you to shop your closet since some of the below looks you probably already own, and allows you to add in key pieces for a complete wardrobe update.

1-Color

Monochromatic or mixing colors you cannot go wrong with adding a fun factor to your outfits. I prefer throwing a blazer over your shoulder rather than wearing it the traditional way, adds a layer to any outfit.

2- Print and Texture

From tie-dye to asymmetrical, print is on fire and has never been easier to wear. We are also seeing a lot of texture, adding another dimension to any outfit.

3-Blazers

This trend cannot make me happier as a stylist or image consultant. So many ways to style it and it’s not something that’s just for the cold seasons. I love the look of a draped over the shoulder blazer with a ruffly romantic dress, as one example on how to wear it.  Zara’s blazers are priced right and fit fantastic for all body types. When I was an executive in luxury retail all I wore were blazers from Zara, and I still wear the ones I purchased over 10 years ago.

4 – 80s Baby

So some of us might want this decade to be forgotten. However, there’s is a much more elevated approach to this look. With strong shoulders, well-fitted pants, and comfy shoes. Anyone can pull off this look without looking like they stepped out of a Madonna video.

5- Accessorize

The only way to complete a look is with accessories.  Take a simple black dress and add a necklace, take a pair of jeans with a white tucked in blouse and add a belt, wear a summer dress with fun hoops…. You get the point. All accessories chosen can be layered into any of the above outfits.
